Emerging Leaders Program

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be an employee of a Meat Institute member company or a Protein PACT partner
  • Be a mid to senior level executive at the time the application is received
  • Have the support of senior management at your organization
  • Be a member of one of Meat Institute's committees.
    • If you are not a current member, you can join one now through your account to be eligible.

Participation Requirements

Members of the Meat Institute Emerging Leaders Program should plan to attend the following:

In-person:

  • The Solutions Summit (October 6-9, 2026, New Orleans, LA)
  • The Farm to Fork Tour (February 8-10, 2027, Amarillo, TX)
  • The Washington Experience (May 3-5, 2027, Washington, DC)
  • The Solutions Summit (October, 2027, Location TBD)

Virtual:

  • Class of 2027 Program Orientation (September 2026, Microsoft Teams)
  • Monthly Sessions (November 2026 - August 2027, Microsoft Teams)

Note: Selected applicants will be responsible for a $3,250.00 program fee.

  • Only the top applicant from an individual company will be selected
  • To determine winners, answers will be scored on the following factors:
    • Evidence of Industry Contribution and Growth Mindset
    • Self-Awareness and Reflective Thinking
    • Leadership Potential: Vision and Influence
    • Communication/clarity of information both written and verbal
