ARLINGTON, VA – The Meat Institute is excited to welcome four outstanding interns – Alexa Bodor, Presley Brashears, Alli Measer, and Naz Worpel -- to its team during the summer of 2025. These interns support key departments across the organization, contributing their energy and expertise to the Meat Institute's work on policy, sustainability, and member engagement.

“It is such a pleasure to have these four future leaders join the Meat Institute team this summer,” said Julie Anna Potts, President and CEO of the Meat Institute. “Their fresh perspectives and dedication to industry improvement will strengthen our initiatives and push our mission forward, and in turn, we can provide them with real world experience in areas related to their studies.”

Alexa Bodor, a rising senior at the College of William & Mary, is studying Environmental Science and Data Science. Alexa is working closely with the Meat Institute’s strategy team on elevating and fine-tuning the Meat Institute Reporting initiative, highlighting companies’ continuous improvement efforts across several crucial focus areas. She brings a systems-thinking approach to sustainability and is eager to learn more about trade associations and data-driven strategies to support the meat and poultry industry. Outside of her academic pursuits, Alexa enjoys music, sailing, and hiking.

Presley Brashears, a junior at Texas Christian University (TCU), joins the Meat Institute as a Public Policy Intern supporting the advocacy team. Presley is majoring in Political Science with a minor in Military, War, and Conflict Studies. This summer, Presley will contribute to policy analysis and engagement strategy development while working closely with the Regulatory and Scientific Affairs teams. She brings strong interests in environmental, trade, and economic issues relevant to the meat and poultry sector.

Alli Measer joins the Meat Institute following her graduation from Colorado State University, where she earned an MBA with a focus on corporate sustainability and carbon management. With a background in accounting and experience in voluntary reporting standards and Scope 3 emissions calculations, Alli will help align sustainability reporting across the animal protein industry. She is currently sitting for her CPA exams and enjoys skiing, paddle boarding, knitting, and reading in her spare time.

Naz Worpel joins the Meat Institute as the Government Affairs intern. A recent graduate of the University of Kansas, Naz brings a strong interest in public policy and advocacy. Originally from Kansas, she recently relocated to Washington, D.C., where she is actively helping the Meat Institute advocate for the meat and poultry processors that feed millions of people around the globe. She attends Congressional hearings and participates in meetings with members of Congress and other key stakeholders.
